Event Details

June 27 – July 1, 2022

Jenie Fawckner shares her entire oil painting process to help students open up a world of loose, textured and colourful techniques capturing the Australian landscape in all its simplified beauty. You will earn to paint confidently from start to finish with a palette knife in oils and impasto, creating a richly textured and colourful landscape. You will gain the technical knowledge to continue painting and developing your own style and interpretation of the landscape.

A professional contemporary artist working with oils and oil-based printmaking, Jenie grew up living and working in regional Queensland. Jenie is now based north of Toowoomba in her purpose-built studio where she practises full time and exhibits with several galleries including Art Nuvo Gallery Buderim. Jenie has had numerous group and solo exhibitions over the last 30 years and currently holds a solo exhibition annually. By painting with a unique colour pallet in tune to the subtle and ever-changing seasonal landscape around her, Jenie uses her exposure to the Australian landscape and field trips to evoke constant inspiration and ideas.
