Event Details

Third Year Theatre students present this powerful production of King Oedipus rules as the great and powerful King of Thebes.  He has it all.  Power, money, glory, love, happiness.  But all is not well. The city of Thebes is under attack from within.  There is a killer concealed somewhere in the city, who has brought the wrath of the Gods upon the innocent citizens.  Thousands die and suffer due to the actions of one man. To save his people, Oedipus must wrestle with the ghosts of his past and accept his fate.

Sophocles’ ancient tale is beautifully translated by Kenneth McLeish and brought to the stage by Company 2021 in their final year of training.
